What Happens When You Work With an Herbalist?

You don’t need to know which herb you want. That’s where the conversation begins.

Maybe you’ve stood in front of a shelf of herbal products and wondered, Which one is right for me? Or perhaps a friend loves an herb that didn’t seem to do much for you. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the choices.

Working with an herbalist gives you a chance to slow down, ask questions, and look at what fits you.

We start with your story

When we talk, I want to hear what brought you in and what you hope to change. We may discuss your sleep, stress, energy, food, daily routines, and the ways you’ve already tried to support yourself. I’ll also ask about medications, supplements, and health conditions so those are considered before we talk about herbs.

The questions have a purpose: two people may come in with the same concern but have very different lives. Their herbal support may look different, too.

Then we find a practical place to begin

Herbs come in many forms, including teas and tinctures. Part of my work is helping you understand your options and find an approach you can realistically make part of your day. I draw on traditional herbal knowledge, my training, and current research while keeping your preferences and circumstances in mind.

You can expect a conversation, not a sales pitch or a one-size-fits-all answer. I’ll explain my thinking, welcome your questions, and help you make an informed choice.

Why work with an herbalist?

You might want guidance because you’re new to herbs. You might have tried a few on your own and want a more personal approach. Or you may simply want someone to listen carefully and help you sort through the possibilities.

Herbal support works best as part of the bigger picture of your health. I don’t diagnose conditions or replace your medical care. I can help you explore how herbs may fit alongside the care and daily habits you already have.

Curious about getting started? I’d love to hear what you’re looking for and talk about whether working together is a good fit.
