What to Expect at NWApothecary – Visual guide to personalized herbal consultations and wellness plans.

The first thing to understand is that this process is not a quick fix. Taking a single herb won’t make your symptoms disappear overnight. This approach requires a commitment to finding balance and providing support for your entire body, which will help alleviate symptoms over time.

In our initial consultation, we’ll have an in-depth discussion about your overall well-being. We’ll look at your current medications, dietary habits, sleep patterns, and daily routines. While I don’t offer medical diagnoses, my goal is to improve your quality of life by taking a holistic approach.

Before our meeting, I’ll need a full list of all the medications and supplements you’re currently using, as well as a completed consent form. We can meet either in person or online if travel is an issue. After our discussion, I will create a personalized plan designed to help improve your well-being.

We’ll have follow-up sessions about 1 to 2 weeks after the initial consultation and again after a month. These follow-ups can also be conducted over the phone if that’s more convenient. The initial consultation fee is $150, which includes the first two follow-up sessions.

You can purchase herbs either from my apothecary or from a third-party supplier, with the cost depending on the specific herbs. If you decide to work with me, I ask that you fully commit to following the protocol we establish. Together, we will make adjustments involving nutrition, physical activity, and herbal supplements to support your health.

This approach is about more than just treating symptoms; it’s about fostering a complete sense of well-being—body, mind, and spirit. Working with an herbalist is a partnership, and our goal is to help you achieve long-term health and vitality.

What is a holistic herbal apothecary?

An herbal apothecary is a place where you can find natural remedies and botanical products aimed at supporting health and well-being. A holistic approach means we consider the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—when providing guidance on the use of herbs and natural products. Our goal is to help you achieve balance and optimal wellness through natural means.

Are herbal remedies safe to use?

Herbal remedies are generally safe when used appropriately. However, like any treatment, they can have side effects or interact with medications. It’s important to consult with a qualified herbalist or healthcare provider before starting any new herbal regimen, especially if you have underlying health conditions or take prescription medications.

How do I know which herbs are right for me?

Choosing the right herbs depends on your specific health needs, body type, and goals. Julie Nelson, our experienced herbalist, offers personalized consultations to assess your health history, current conditions, and lifestyle. She creates unique herbal blends and protocols tailored to your individual needs, ensuring the best support for your well-being. Additionally, we provide educational content to help you understand different herbs and their properties.

Can herbal treatments replace conventional medicine?

Herbal treatments can complement conventional medicine but are not intended to replace it. They can support wellness, alleviate symptoms, and enhance the body’s natural healing processes. For serious or chronic medical conditions, it’s essential to work with your healthcare provider alongside any herbal treatments.

What types of products do you offer?

We offer a variety of herbal products including dried herbs, tinctures, teas, salves, and essential oils. Each product is crafted or curated to meet high standards of quality and potency, ensuring that you receive effective natural solutions for your health and wellness needs.
